Poll Results: What’s The Best Way To Respond To A Targeted Lead On LinkedIn

What’s the best way to respond to a targeted lead that just accepted your connection request on LinkedIn?

I recently asked this question in a poll. 

Here are the results: 

57% of you answered – Ask a question

25% of you answered – Share info about yourself

13% of you answered – Non-salesy voice message

And 5% of you answered – Pitch your product/service

Are any of these results surprising to you?

A few interesting things I noticed from the comments: 

1. People have very different opinions on voice messages.

Some people love them, other people are annoyed by them. 

2. A few people mentioned they prefer sending video messages.

3. People are still not 100% sure how they should be replying to new messages. Do they bring up their services/products? Or do they not?

Do they ask a question? Do they call something out from their profile?

There are so many different ways to approach this, which makes this a never-ending, always-evolving discussion.
